Durban July: The annual outbreak of “July Fever” which made its appearance from mid-April grew in intensity as the days passed, and became a national epidemic that rejected all known cures but one.
That cure became available on Saturday afternoon last week at Greyville Racecourse in Durban when South Africa’s best thoroughbreds stormed down the home straight to the finish of the R4,25 million, Grade 1 Vodacom Durban July.
The event attracted a plethora personalities. From fashionistas to party animals, celebrity guests to wanna-be’s and not forgetting the reason for the season, the esteemed horses.
Durban July brought with it it’s highly anticipated theme. This year’s theme was: The Colour Of Magic.
